Just too spice things up, I thought it was appropriate to post a German Phrase on an English class blog site. Anyways, I went to my very first Penn State Women’s Volleyball game this past weekend and watched them play Minnesota. This was quite the experience. I had seen the girls play several times on TV, but never in person. It is definitely a must see as a Penn State student. They are national title contenders once for the umpteenth time in their storied history here. There have been several Olympians, even, that have graced this campus with their athletic prowess.
Micah Hancock. Not enough can be said about this girl. During the game I saw her do things that I only could dream of doing. Being a male, when I played volleyball in high school there was a lot of power that was associated with the game over skill because the boys could jump higher, and hit harder, and serve with a greater velocity. Micah Hancock possesses all of these attributes to a super capital A. Her serve is so fast and powerful that all of Rec Hall starts hissing like the fuse of a bomb and yells BOOM when she makes contact with the ball. Oh my gosh it was amazing to watch her serve. I have only ever pulled that off a few times and she does it on a relatively consistent basis. Penn State Women’s Volleyball, you’ve got to check them out.
